The gameplay is simple.

Pros and cons of Shades: A Simple Puzzle Game app for iPhone and iPad

Shades: A Simple Puzzle Game app good for

Its pretty much Tetris with pretty colours. I love it. The music/sound effects are really nice as well.
Ive played this game more than any other since I got it a couple of years ago! Many of my cognitive skills were altered by a mild brain trauma & PTSD after a 2007 MVA: A drunkard crossed the center line & hit my car head on. I wont detail the physical injuries & hardships. Having the cognitive deficits put on the back burner until 2014 says enough about how much physical rehabilitation and lifestyle changes I had to make. I can finally enjoy the games on my iPad. I was never good at airplane or wargames, so I moved toward puzzle types. When I started playing video games, if they made me stop breathing or want to through my iPad out the window, Id delete them. I stop playing a game when I cant relax anymore, but with practice the amount of time I can play increases dramatically. But SHADES has been FUN! and has unexpected helped me improve many lowered or lost skills: Keeping a steady hand, thinking through several concepts instantaneously, processing difficult motor & visual skills, recognizing subtle differences in "SHADES" of color -LOL- and remembering all that info to further strategize & physically make the next move... often, in the final moments, within milliseconds!! My scores are improving faster lately. I have made a skill jump, recognizing more subtleties involved in the game strategy, particularly at the different skill levels. Most gamers would still probably smear me but I smeared myself!
The games use of multiple colors and basic game play makes for hours of addictive fun.
I really enjoy this game. Its a similar challenge to Tetris, but harder!
Easy to understand, difficult to beat in the hard mode. Love playing shades. Its a quick, fun distraction.
I like the challenge of this game. My kids even play it from time to time. I find it especially intriguing for the implications in telling the differences between the shades. It sounds crazy, but I swear it is harder to tell the blues and the greens.

Some bad moments

Lost my super high score for no apparent reason. Opened the app and it started at level 1! I was at 180,000!!!!!!!!! Grrrrrr
The concept is cool but it gets old fast. I had it for 2 days but I thought it was boring.
BUT I paid for the app, I shouldnt see your stupid ad for your new game EVERYTIME I launch the app
Letzter Schrott - funktioniert nicht exakt mit dem Touchscreen des iPhone 6s
Wasnt crashing for me before update, but now it is every time I choose a difficulty. Unplayable.
Update make it crash before you can even start a game. Did no one test this before release?
